Literary Community
The Sylvia Beach Society is a community devoted to celebrating art and literature. It is the home of historical archive efforts for the Sylvia Beach Hotel, an iconic independent hotel that operated in Newport, Oregon from March 1987 to January 2025. The newsletter publishes archival updates and relevant essays, and is open for submissions.

Michelle C. Funk is a software developer with over a decade of experience building software for startups and a passion for creating accessible and delightful user experiences. She founded SpoonOMatic to build tools and community for chronically ill and neurodivergent people, and is the designer and creator of the SpoonGrid app.
